Baby Boy Bear
Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission called about 3 hours ago (8 PM), and said they have a young boy bear which they need to place with us.  They wanted to deliver him here tonight.  It's unbelievable how fast you can move when it's necessary!  I called Sue, Christina, Morgen (and her husband), and a new volunteer Maddy.
They all arrived, and believe it or not, we
successfully made the transfer.  This is certainly a miracle!  The FFWCC seems to think the new boy bear is the brother to the other baby boy bear which we accepted recently.  The new boy bear is much smaller than the other one, however this could be because of not enough food.  Our priority right now must be a much larger bear compound to accommodate our new arrivals.
The two baby boy bears were at first cautious of each other, however after being together for two days, they are playing together joyfully.  It is indeed heartwarming to see them together.  We were told by FFWCC (Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission) that they are probably brothers.  It's kind of like the movie in which tiger brothers were reintroduced to each other, and those tigers recognized each other.  I'm often asked why we do what we do for the world of animals.  The answer is simple.  They need us, and WE NEED them.
