Our cougar compound is awesome. Each cougar pen is large enough for 10 cougars, but only two or three cougars share a pen.

Cougars love to climb! That's why all of the pens and cougar, turn-out areas are equipped with a sturdy, fenced roof. This protects the other cats, as well as our employees and visitors. The cats have the freedom to roam about, between their pens and the turn-out, through a custom-built passageway.

Cougars love the shade just as much as any other cat. Each cougar pen is equipped with a shade table, for the cougars to beat the midday sun.

EARS currently houses several species of endangered cougars.
